10 Week Basic Blacksmithing Course

Tuesday nights from 6p – 10p
January 9th 2024 – March 12TH 2024
Cost: $450 per Student

This year we will be taking a slightly different approach to our normal 10-week class that has been taught for the last 30 years… This year we will be teaching the ABANA National Curriculum Level 1.
Projects will include:
- Safety Understanding
- Forge Nomenclature
- Tapers
- S – Hooks
- Leaves
- Punches & Chisels
- Heat Treating
- Forge Welding
- Plus more…
Everyone who completes the course will receive a certificate of completion; if you are a current member of ABANA you will also receive your Level 1 certificate if all steps are completed. There is no guarantee that every part of the Level 1 Cirriculum will be able to be completed in the time allotted. There will be extra opportunities to use the shop on Wednesday nights, however it will self-led.
Class will be limited to 8 students
*Students must be 14 years of age or older. All students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
