The curriculum will include:

• How to start and maintain a coal forge
• How make coal forge tools (Rake, Poker, Shovel)
• How to forge S hooks – this will teach students hammer control as well as how to taper stock and put a finished end on it
• How to forge a rat tail end, beaver tail end, & fish tail end
• How to put a decorative twist on round and square stock
• How to forge a center punch, square punch, & fan chisel
• How to heat treat & temper
• How to forge tongs
• How to make a nail header for forging nails
• How to forge weld (make chain links)
• How to forge a simple leaf

Class will be limited to 7 students
*Students must be 14 years of age or older. All students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
